Dal Adai

A hearty Dal adai made with a blend of dals and rice for a protein and fiber rich meal. Perfectly spiced and satisfying, it’s ideal for a nutritious breakfast or light dinner.

Dal Adai

A protein-packed, fiber-rich dish that supports muscle repair and promotes sustained energy
Cook Time 15 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Green Gram Dal
  • 1 cup Black Gram Dal
  • 1 cup Red Gram Dal
  • 1 cup Raw Rice
  • 5 nos Green Chillies
  • Coriander Leaves - Handful
  • 3 tsp Salt
  • Oil As Needed

Method
 

  1. Soak all dal varieties together in water for 2 -3 hours, rinse well and grind to a coarse paste.
  2. Add salt, chopped chillies, coriander leaves
  3. Heat a dosa kadai/pan, spread a ladle full of dough into a thick circular Adai.
  4. Add 1/2 tsp of oil around, close with a lid and let it cook in medium flame, flip on both sides until golden brown.
  5. Serve hot with ginger based veg chutney.
